Evolving
Learning to direct our energies to the sublime regions

The life we receive has its source in God, and we must return it to him so that it can regain its original purity. But that is a notion that rarely occurs to people. They spend their time wasting the life God has given them in satisfying their desires and ambitions. And when one day they have to take stock, they realize they have lost almost everything for very little gain.
Human beings can be compared to skyscrapers: each floor of the building has occupants who have to be fed with energy. The top floor is the brain. But what will be left for the brain’s inhabitants if all the water, the vital fluid, is only being used to feed the occupants of the lower floors – the instincts, passions and selfish desires? The poor ones higher up become sluggish, paralysed; they can no longer produce anything. To evolve we must learn to direct our energies to the sublime regions, where they will awaken powers in the brain-cells that no one as yet has any idea even exist.
