Joy
Privilege of our divine nature
December 3rd 2014
If you want joy never to leave you again, do your best to rise to the regions of soul and spirit as often as possible. Only the soul and spirit have the power to enable you to live in infinite space and eternity. Then, even if misfortune strikes, even if you are suffering, you still feel joy.
Suffering and joy… You will say it is not possible to live in two such contradictory states at once. Yes, it is possible. Why? Because we are made up of two natures: a purely human nature, which is weak, vulnerable and always reacts painfully to the slightest annoyance, the slightest obstacle, the slightest loss, and a higher nature, which no evil can reach, because it lives in eternal light and eternal bliss. If you learn to observe everything that happens to you from the perspective of your higher nature, eventually you will even discover that sadness and grief are a kind of fertile silt that nourishes the trees and flowers of your inner garden to help them grow.
