Wisdom and love

Their function in building and preserving our inner home

July 31st 2015
You build your true home with wisdom and light. Wisdom’s materials are solid, but to stand the test of time they need to be supported by a living soul, otherwise you will soon see cracks appear in the walls. And this living soul is love. When a house is lived in, it does not get damaged as much as it would if it remained empty. It is given life by the presence of human beings, by their activity and their breathing. It says, ‘Since someone has taken shelter in me, I must remain standing.’ But if it is abandoned, it begins to fall apart. So when you build your home, let wisdom be its structure, but fill it with love to preserve it and keep it solid. If there is no love, if there is no life circulating in it, it will collapse. The proof of this is that when the soul leaves a person’s body, the body gradually decomposes. What was sustaining this dwelling? The life that was circulating in it.
