Forgiveness from god

Which we receive when we make good our mistakes

September 13th 2015
Jesus came to reveal to men and women that God is their Father, but instead of reflecting and going deep within themselves to find the traces of this divine filiation, Christians are content with a childish interpretation. They behave like temperamental, demanding, thoughtless children and imagine that, whatever they do, God will be indulgent and forgive their faults. They come before him, smeared, covered in mud, and they think it will be enough if they say to him, ‘Lord, I have been wading in swamps, but I know you are kind and merciful. Forgive me. I am sorry’. Well, no, that isn’t enough, and the Lord will begin by sending them off for a quick wash. What does ‘a quick wash’ mean? It means making good our mistakes. That is the true repentance that leads us back to God. To believe that God forgives us simply because he is kind and merciful and we have faith is an illusion. We are only forgiven if we become aware of our faults and make reparation.
