Cremation or burial

September 26th 2015
These days, westerners are questioning whether it is better to bury or cremate the dead. The rituals of both burial and cremation are good, but there is one thing you should know nevertheless. When someone is declared dead, there are still ties connecting their soul to their body. If they are buried, these ties slowly come undone. If they are cremated, the separation is extremely rapid, and such a separation can be a wrenching, violent experience, especially if the person has never been aware that their true existence was not limited to their physical body. If they have never believed in survival after death, what can their soul feel? They wonder where they are; they understand nothing that is happening to them. They need time to disengage peacefully. In this case, burial is better.
