Stability

The basis for spiritual commitment

November 10th 2015
From the day you decide to walk the path of light, you must never abandon it. You can change direction for anything else, but never abandon the divine direction you have chosen. And above all, know that stability does not mean immobility. Being stable means being true to your commitments; it means following the upward path no matter what. And this is more difficult than being kind, helpful, likeable, generous and courageous. When you are in a good mood, you promise yourself you will always keep to the direction you are walking in, and you imagine yourself overcoming all obstacles. But a few days later, after some failure or disappointment, you find you are in another state of mind, and you don’t even remember having made these resolutions. Where do you think that will get you? More than ever, that is when it is important not to stumble.
