To receive life from everything around us

So many human beings walk the paths of life like empty vessels waiting to be filled. But why wait? Each person and each object they encounter has special qualities. If they learn to recognize these qualities, open themselves up to them and be inspired by them, they will no longer feel empty or alone.
Everything that exists on earth and in heaven can give you something good. But receiving it depends on you, for in order to receive you must be conscious and open up. If you go through life not only with your eyes and ears closed but, more importantly, with your heart and mind barricaded, you will of course remain in solitude and poverty. Be a little more receptive, and you will realize that everything can serve as food for your inner life.
