To preserve it, do not rely on outer conditions

If you are able to no longer rely on the physical presence of those you love, you will preserve your love and your joy forever. You will no longer be subject to circumstances, because you will live in the only world that is truly real: your inner world, with which you are one. When you leave your inner world, you feel that beings and things elude you; you are at the mercy of events.
Do you know how long your loved one will stay with you? No, perhaps one day he or she will leave. So, try to raise your consciousness to the higher realms, where circumstances have no power over you, where the sun of love never sets. Leap into the light of this eternal sun. While those you love abide within you, no power in the world can take them from you.
