Smiling
What it should express
August 2nd 2016
Already, when we smile at those we meet, we are giving them a greeting and a sign of recognition, even before we greet them with words. So it is important to be mindful of what we express when we smile. Of course, it is not a matter of manufacturing an artificial smile by studying ourselves in the mirror. Our smile should express sympathy, understanding and friendliness and so should come naturally, from within.
If you are able to go into the depths of your being in search of silence and light, your inner sculptors will always know which nerves and muscles to stretch or relax. You can trust them. Wanting to manufacture your own smile is only going to distort your features. So work with love, hope and faith, and leave the rest to the inspiration of your inner sculptors.
