Remorse

Is only useful to the extent that you decide to mend your ways

July 26th 2011
Human beings are not perfect, and they make mistakes daily. But even if these mistakes are serious, they must not allow their conscience to become overwhelmed; there is no point. If they feel remorse and shame momentarily, it is a good thing, for you cannot mend your ways if you do not first realize you were wrong to act as you did and regret it. Remorse is only useful if you then decide not to make the same mistakes. Beyond that, it is useless and even harmful. Those who keep going over their mistakes and allowing themselves to be crushed by remorse stir up the dregs of their subconscious and attract negative forces. Not only do they do themselves a great deal of harm, but such an attitude is not pleasing to the Lord. For the Lord created humans to live like him, in beauty, joy and plenitude.
