How to make the best use of them
August 1st 2011
Make the best use of your holidays by going back over some of the events you have experienced and encounters you have had, and try to draw some useful conclusions. Then, in future, you will be better at facing situations and behaving with those around you. Also, go over the notes you have taken during the talks or while reading the books. Choose a few meaningful sentences, and repeat them until a spark catches within you, kindling wisdom and love in your whole being. While you are on holiday you are more exposed to temptations. So be careful. Rest, but know that true rest is just a change of activity. If you do nothing, even rest will be harmful to you, for resting without allowing the spirit to have its say is always damaging: it leaves the door open to harmful advice from your lower nature.
