Word, the

Through it we take part in god’s work

Speaking and writing consist of fitting words together by arranging and organizing them; and so are acts of creation. Anyone can use words either to create joy, trust, love and light in others, or to create sadness, darkness, illness or despair. And in the latter case they are creating monsters, even if they use the best style to express themselves. True evolution involves learning to use the spoken or written word with a view to divine results, that is, to engage the elements of the Word to create only what is right, good and beautiful. Those who work consciously in this direction are participating in God’s work, and God recognizes them as his workers. For creation is not yet finished, the Creator continues to work and needs workers who – symbolically – bring him stones, sand and cement. ‘Is that all we are meant for?’, you will say. Yes, and don’t feel hurt, it certainly is not to us, human beings, that the Creator can entrust the most important task, but at whatever level, it is glorious to be participating in his work.
