Words, the master’s

Can only show the way

August 16th 2011
A spiritual Master endeavours to lead his disciples as far as he can using speech, and then he must be silent. It is impossible for him to reveal everything he experiences in his spirit and soul. Are there words to truly explain what ecstasy is, that moment when a human being is wrenched from their body and hurled to dizzy heights? A Master can only affirm before his disciples that experiences they cannot as yet even imagine are real. And just as these experiences pervade his whole being, so they also pervade everything he then tells them. Whatever the subject, he communicates something that comes from a great distance, a great height. Thus he communicates to them the desire to experience what he himself has experienced, and through his explanations and the methods he gives them he sets up the conditions for them and shows them the way.
