Punishments, heavenly
Wrong beliefs
July 20th 2017
Why continue to uphold the belief that God punishes humans for their errors? Whatever their mistakes may be, human beings are neither forsaken nor punished by God. It is they who, through their errors, turn away from him, and in doing so they encounter nothing but cold, darkness and limitations of every kind; it is they themselves who have put themselves into this sad predicament.
People reason as if their actions were exterior to themselves and could be detached from them. No, these actions, whether good or evil, and even if the effects are felt externally to them, leave traces mainly within them, and these traces are indelible. So, if they wish to feel divine benevolence and love once more, there is only one solution: they must become conscious of their mistakes and strive to correct them.
