Phoenix, the

A symbol of the sun

April 28th 2018
In mythology, the phoenix is a bird from Arabia that would periodically place itself atop a pyre of aromatic plants, to which it would set fire, be consumed by the flames, then rise from its ashes. That is why it has become the symbol of highly evolved beings who, knowing the laws of immortal life, are capable of constantly renewing themselves. These beings have taken the sun as their model. All those who aspire to immortal life, which is true spiritual life, not an endless prolongation of physical life, must seek out the sun. Only the sun can teach them about what elements confer immortality, and how to work with them. There are three such elements: light, heat and life. The sun never ceases to distribute them through space as expressions of divine light, heat and life. The day you attend the sunrise with the awareness that you can feed on its light, its heat and its life, you will become immortal, because you will have learned how to renew yourself.
