Sensation

Is true understanding

The activity of the intellect is insufficient for genuine understanding. In its true sense, understanding is not acquired by a few cells in the brain; it also takes place in the heart, the stomach, the lungs, the liver, and even in the hands and feet since each one of them is a living and intelligent entity. True knowledge is the result of all the sensations you continuously feel. For when you feel, you know instantly – because you have tasted what you experience. Nothing you might know intellectually can be compared to what you feel. When you feel love, when you feel hate, anger, joy or sorrow, you are without doubt: you know what they are and you feel them with your entire being. You might not be able to analyze them, but no one will be able to convince you that you don’t know them. For that is true knowledge: feeling things with your entire being.
