Actions

Are good or bad depending on the quality of the thoughts and feelings that inspire them

Words of truth can only be understood and above all, put into action, if they fall on fertile ground. To better understand this, we must first bear in mind the psychic structure of human beings. It is based on three principles: an intellect which allows us to think, a heart enabling us to express feelings, and a will encouraging us to take action. But our will never acts without motive – it is influenced by our thoughts and feelings. Observe yourselves when you wish to take action: it is not enough to simply think something is useful for you to decide to do it; you also need to like what you are going to do. We can therefore say that actions are the materialization of thoughts produced by the intellect and of feelings inspired by the heart – actions are their children. And depending on the quality of these thoughts and feelings, the actions our will produces will be good or bad. They are good if our intellect is inspired by wisdom and our heart inspired by love. Only then can we act according to the truth: for truth manifests through will, like a seed that grows in fertile soil.
