Beginning, the

The only moment we control

November 11th 2011
Nothing is more important than our consciousness at the beginning of a process, and this truth is valid even in domains you know nothing about. Take the example of war. When a war breaks out, you can be precise about the date. Yes, but it was in preparation for years, and that’s when it began, long before hostilities were triggered. And when does a war really begin? When the bombs are being made. The day they are dropped, the end has already arrived. We cannot say to the bomb, ‘I beg you, don’t go falling on innocent people, on those we love,’ for it will reply, ‘For months, you have been getting me ready, knowing full well what you were doing, and I was all ears. You don’t want to see me do any damage? Then you shouldn’t have made me. Now it is my turn to act.’ And you can no longer control the situation.
