Concentration
A factor in being effective and powerful

Nothing saps a person’s strength more than filling their head with too many different things, wanting to achieve several goals at once and being pulled in every direction. Really think about this, and make up your mind to focus on one idea, one desire: then all your energies will be directed toward that goal, and you will develop fantastic power.
When a country is at war, if it has to dispatch its army in every direction, on every front, its forces are spread thin, and they are no longer as effective as if they were concentrated in one spot. This is so obvious and easy to understand! Take a magnifying glass and focus the sun’s rays on one spot, and you can set everything alight. But if the rays are dispersed, you can hold the magnifying glass there for several years and nothing will happen. Only concentration, whether of fire, light, thought, feeling or action, produces real power.
