To evolve we must compare ourselves to the wisest beings

October 17th 2021
When we see how different people are – how some are constantly driven to accomplish great things while others spend all their time on futile, petty trivialities – we are inclined to ask, ‘Why is there such a difference? Where does it come from?’ Well, it is simple: the former look upwards and compare themselves to all those who have surpassed them, and they take these people as models; whereas the latter are satisfied with points of comparison of such inferior quality that they find themselves to be quite good and they stop making progress. In order to evolve, we need an example, a point of comparison, and that example must be the life and teaching of all the purest, wisest and noblest human beings.
