Spiritual love creates the right conditions for inspiration

When we lack inspiration, we are like a tree in winter, but we should know that inspiration comes periodically just like the flowering of a tree – when the conditions are right, in the spring. It is therefore up to us to create the conditions of spring in our soul. How? By means of love.
It is love that creates spring within us, but not just any kind of love, spiritual love. The spirit is not willing to be directed, it blows where it will, as it is said in the Gospels, ‘The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes.’ But by means of love, we create the conditions for its coming.
