Soul and spirit

The circumference and the centre of a circle

May 14th 2022
Take a circle: however great the circumference its centre is always a minute point. The circumference symbolizes the soul, which can expand to an infinite degree. The point at the centre on the other hand represents the spirit, which has no dimensions but which has the distinctive property of vibrating with such intensity that it is present everywhere at once. The spirit has no dimensions because it is not material, whereas the soul is material. This does not mean that it is made of the same crude matter that is familiar to us on the physical plane; the soul is made of the primordial matter that is pure light. The spirit can create nothing without the matter of the soul in which it dwells. When physicists split the atom, they are symbolically liberating the spirit, the forces imprisoned in matter.
