Drawing subtle forces from our food

Most people pay no attention to how they eat. They spend their meals talking, gesticulating and squabbling, in the midst of which they occasionally put something into their mouths. They see nothing unusual in this. They trust their system to sort out the food and retain those elements necessary for the body to function properly. And indeed, the body does take care of it. But what these ignorant people do not realize is that food also contains subtle forces and elements which can be assimilated only by eating consciously. And as these elements belong to the etheric, astral and mental planes, they can help to improve our thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Yes, but only on condition that we learn to eat consciously.
