Sexual force
It becomes stronger the more we love the lord

How many saints and mystics have been unhappy to find that the closer they came to the Lord, and the more they loved him, the stronger their sexual urges became? They struggled, they were tormented and torn apart by these feelings... We must understand that human nature is such that if we set one mechanism in motion in part of our being, other mechanisms in other parts are set in motion too.
You will say, ‘Well then, if it is going to increase our sexual urges, we must simply stop loving the Lord!’ In fact, there are ways of directing this sexual force and using it for greater spiritual achievements. Indeed, there is so much to learn if we wish to avoid being misled! But at least if you know what reactions can occur after a moment of fervent prayer, ecstasy, or fusion with the Deity, you can be on your guard. When people lose their way it is usually because of ignorance.
