Divine love
Superior to sexual attraction and to feelings

Love, true love, is superior not only to sexual attraction, but to feelings as well, for it is a state of consciousness. Attraction has to do with wavelengths, vibrations, fluids; it depends on elements that are purely physical. Feelings are already superior to attraction because they may be inspired by elements of a moral, intellectual and spiritual nature but feelings are also variable – one day we love, the next day we don’t.
Whereas love that is experienced as a state of consciousness is not bound by circumstances and people. It is the state of someone who has so purified themselves and so developed their willpower that they have managed to rise to the sublime regions of divine love. Then, whatever they do, whatever they eat, wherever they go, whatever work they do or other beings they meet, this person feels this love within them and uses it to help all creatures.
