Receiving the fruits of hope at sunrise

You are present at the sunrise in the morning in order to receive fruits of hope. Yes, in giving you its light, heat and life, the sun is giving you the food and drink of hope. What a pity you have so often abandoned hope and chosen despair. If you had not abandoned hope, if you had not given way to so many doubts and hesitations, you would have had much better results by now.
Why do you not try to have thoughts that nourish your spirit? If you never try to rise above the sad reality that presses in on you, it will end by stifling you altogether. You must do something to change things, at least inwardly. Tell yourself, ‘All these difficulties and sufferings will not last for ever. I am a son of God, a daughter of God, and God is preparing a future of beauty, light and splendour for me.’
