Sympathy and antipathy
Misleading impressions

When it comes to founding a family or forming a friendship or business partnership, most people tend to be guided by their first favourable or unfavourable impressions, by their feelings of sympathy or antipathy. They think, ‘I like the look of him, or her!’ and, without thinking or making any further enquiries, they commit themselves, without realizing that the person in question is actually a swindler. And they turn their backs on someone whom they like less, but who is fair, honest and kind.
As long as you continue to be guided by your sympathies and antipathies, which are only momentary impressions, instead of by wisdom, which sees much further, you will continue to meet with disillusionment and failure.
