Divine nature
It must not serve people’s lower nature

Try to satisfy only the divine nature in people, their souls and their spirits. Do not serve their selfish, greedy, demanding lower nature. You will say, ‘Yes, but if I don’t satisfy their whims, my wife or husband will be furious.’ Let the husband or wife be furious and encourage only their divine side.
Jesus said, ‘Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.’ If we interpret these words in a broad sense, we will make some very interesting discoveries. Why are there so many problems between men and women? Because ‘they follow the dead’. Yes, the lower nature, the personality, is to be classified with the dead, and if we always try to please this nature and satisfy its whims, we too will end up dying. Jesus was not talking about the dead in cemeteries; they are where they are supposed to be, and besides their soul is alive. The dead Jesus spoke of are those who have no spiritual life: it is they who are the real dead.
