Kingdom of god

Those who serve it are rewarded

All those who do not work for the kingdom of God will always be hungry, thirsty, vulnerable and careworn. Why? Because they receive no wages, symbolically speaking. But those who serve heaven and work for the kingdom of God receive a marvellous salary every day and every hour in the form of strength, currents of light and love, joy, delight and wonder. When you meet such people, you cannot help but be struck by their joy, and if you ask them why they are so joyful, they will say, ‘It is because we work in the vineyards of the Lord. This is our reward.’*
