Tree
Correspondence with a human being
A tree has roots, a trunk and branches, but it is not really a tree until the spirit has started to work within it so that it can produce leaves, flowers and fruit.* The same is true of human beings. They have a stomach, lungs and a brain, but these are not enough for them to manifest themselves fully as a human being. Like the roots, trunk and branches of a tree, their organs are no more than the material form and support through which the spirit works to bring forth leaves, flowers and fruit. Leaves are for the stomach, flowers for the lungs, and fruit for the head. The descent of the spirit into someone is like the advent of spring, which gives a tree the opportunity to display all its hidden treasures.
