Self-mastery

To become the ruler of one’s kingdom

Try to understand the importance of self-mastery. When you learn self-mastery you are the ruler of your own kingdom, and all the treasures and powers of this kingdom are at your disposal. Not only are you then rich and powerful, but you can do a great deal of good for other people; they feel soothed and comforted in your presence. Even the intelligent spirits of the universe come to your assistance, for when they see that you are in full control of yourself, they shower blessings on you, knowing that if they entrust their treasures to you they will not be wasted or lost.*
