Capricorn
It is in the darkness of a cave that the christ-child can be born
December 21st 2025
On December 21, the sun enters the constellation of Capricorn. Symbolically, Capricorn is related to rocky mountain peaks, but also to the caves and grottoes that open inside the flanks of mountains. And it is precisely in the darkness of a cave that the Christ-child can be born.
During the rest of the year, both nature and human beings are very active, but as winter approaches, many kinds of work are brought to a halt. The days grow shorter and the nights longer; the time is ripe for meditation and turning inward. It is this stillness that comes over the whole of nature that makes it possible for human beings to enter into the depths of their own being and find the right conditions for the birth of the divine Child.*
