Intellect and heart –uniting them through the fire of the spirit

March 7th 2026
Oxygen represents the masculine principle, hydrogen the feminine principle, and water is their child. In human beings, oxygen represents the intellect, and hydrogen the heart. The intellect is one thing, the heart another, and they can live side by side without being connected. However, if they are not united, they cannot produce water—life.
This separation of the heart and intellect is very widespread today. We see it in families in which the husband is not united with his wife; in society where intellectuals are in conflict with people who follow their hearts; and above all, in human beings themselves, whose thoughts and feelings often tug in opposite directions.
In order to unite the heart and intellect, we need fire, the fire of true love, the fire of the spirit. Once united by this fire, the heart and intellect will give birth to children—that is, to magnificent deeds, which are the fruit of their union, of the harmonious balance between them.
