It puts on clothing to manifest itself in the physical, astral and mental bodies

When clairvoyants practise dissociation, they slip out of their physical body as though they were casting off an outer layer, and then, thanks to their astral body, they can travel through space. But even the astral body is an encumbrance, a garment that must be removed, as must the mental body, so that we can be naked, unfettered and utterly free. Only when we attain the nakedness of the spirit can we know true reality.
The spirit is naked and needs no clothing. It gets dressed only to manifest itself on the material plane, but to return home, it must shed these garments.
