Good and evil

Good is weak at first, but powerful in the end; it is the opposite for evil

By confronting evil with evil, hatred with hatred, and violence with violence, we are applying a very old philosophy that cannot produce good results. We must meet evil with goodness, dispel hatred through love, and vanquish violence with peace.
This law must be understood once and for all. Only good can combat evil, because good is made of immortal matter, whereas evil is made of friable matter. Every word and act of hatred can be likened to a stone thrown in the air: the more time that passes, the less force the stone possesses to rise. A good word or act, on the other hand, is like a stone thrown from the top of a tower: it picks up speed and power as it descends. This is the secret of good: it is weak to start with, but it ends by being all-powerful. Evil, on the contrary, seems all-powerful to begin with, but it weakens over time.
