Given us when we are able to improve our behaviour

Try this experiment: for at least a week, try to behave on every occasion in a controlled, wise, kind and generous fashion. After those few days, you will feel better able to face life. When you manage to improve your behaviour, you are filled with a new strength that supports and protects your nervous system. You are better able to take on responsibilities and to face the different situations that present themselves. Inside, you feel a structure being erected and strengthened; it supports you more firmly, making it possible for you to overcome trials and obstacles. So, you might find yourself anxious, tired and discouraged, but not for long – it takes only a prayer, a moment of meditation, before this strength starts working in you again and restoring order.
