Gradation
In the different realms of nature and in human beings
November 26th 2026
When we study the different realms of nature, we observe that there is a gradation. Stones do not have the vitality that plants have; plants are not gifted with the sensitivity that animals have; and animals do not possess the intelligence that has been given to human beings. Thus, from one realm to another, we find at each step a higher degree of evolution.
And this same gradation exists among human beings. Yes, from the brute to the genius, the saint or the Initiate, what an enormous gradation, what an enormous progression! And even among ordinary human beings, some are coarser, more primitive because they allow themselves to be guided by their instincts and appetites, while others are more enlightened, more noble, because they have begun to master themselves and to turn their gaze towards a higher world.
