Hands
Shake hands consciously, with an understanding of the language of hands
February 10th 2026
Many of the gestures we are so accustomed to making have become automatic, yet they actually have a profound meaning. When you meet somebody to talk, share a meal or discuss business, you begin by shaking hands, and this creates a bond. One hand represents the masculine, emissive principle, and the other the feminine or receptive principle. If there is conscious thought behind this handshake, each hand plays its part, and the result is a productive state of harmony.
Two people who shake hands show that they want to understand each other, and progress together on the same path. Yes, but this will be achieved only if one of the hands possesses positive energy and the other, negative energy. The joining of two active, positive hands produces conflict, whereas two passive, negative hands will remain inert and ineffectual. The act of shaking hands always implies a wish to bring about organized activity. But there is one condition: both people must be alternately emissive and receptive.
