Truth

It cannot be known by the intellect, only by the spirit

March 14th 2026
It is a mistake to believe that truth can be grasped by the intellect. The intellect is a faculty that enables us to know the physical world, and a little of the psychic world, but no more than that. Of itself, the intellect is very limited and cannot know truth.
Take the very simple example of a rose. To know the truth of a rose is not only a question of perceiving its shape, colour and scent. The truth of a rose is an emanation, a presence that is beyond the grasp of the intellect. To know a rose is to sense the sum total of the elements that make it a rose and not something else.
All the more so when it comes to knowing a human being: the truth of a human must encompass and synthesize all the elements of their being, from their spirit to their physical body. Insofar as you do not know these elements, you do not know the whole truth of a person, only a fraction of that truth. But the ultimate, absolute truth of a being lies in their spirit, and can be known only by the spirit.
