Artists
They should not seek novelty by distancing themselves from the source
May 5th 2026
Whatever their field, be it music, dance, painting, sculpture, architecture or poetry, all artists wish to find something new. But no one questions whether by searching for novelty at any cost, they are drifting further and further away from the Source of beauty and harmony. Not that artists are forbidden to seek novelty: on the contrary. But why do they have to look for it down below, in areas ever more distant from the Source? They are not enlightened and know nothing of science; impelled by their need to create, they abandon themselves to their instincts.
Of course, it is always possible to create, whether it be along good lines or bad. There are many novel forms and aspects to be found as we distance ourselves from the Source, from the spiritual sun. But why choose forms that serve to lead those who contemplate them still further from the centre?
