Intellect

It has a partial perception of reality, and cannot guide us

June 3rd 2026
People must become more and more aware that they have instruments at their disposal that are far superior to their intellect. Our intellect is simply a tool that serves us well for studying or exploring matter, but it cannot really guide us, even in our everyday lives. For not only does the intellect give only a partial perception of reality, but essentially, underlying everything it does there is a hidden motive, an interest, a self-centered calculation that always ends up creating trouble. If we are ruled by our intellect, as soon as we make a sacrifice or a generous gesture, we immediately regret it, thinking how foolish we have been to listen to the advice of our heart or soul.
Moreover, the intellect is incapable of conceiving how brotherhood will be achieved amongst all peoples, how everybody on earth will form one family, how the whole world will live together in peace and harmony. It cannot elevate itself high enough to discover true remedies, true solutions. Partial and egocentric, the intellect’s vision and counsel are invariably flawed and can lead only to misunderstandings.
