Living in the present

With all the acquisitions of the past while projecting ourselves into the future

A disciple must learn to use in this present life all that existed in the past and all that will exist in the future. But when I say, ‘all that existed in the past’, I mean only that which belongs to the authentic tradition whose essence has been handed down intact from time immemorial. And the future is all the universal elements still to come. For the future, the true future is moving in the direction of universal, cosmic and fraternal values.
So, disciples must live in the present, in possession of all the acquisitions of the past while, at the same time, projecting themselves into the future with all the immensity of their soul and the might of their spirit. This is the richness, the fullness of life.
