Holy grail
The union of the masculine and feminine principles, the sun and the moon
December 27th 2026
The chalice of the Holy Grail is the symbol of a human being who has succeeded in drawing the Spirit to themself and fixing it within them. The legend says that this chalice, carved out of a single emerald, held the blood of Jesus after his crucifixion. An emerald is green, the colour of Venus, the feminine principle; blood is red, the colour of Mars, the masculine principle. Thus the Grail symbolizes the union of the masculine and feminine principles, Mars and Venus, but in their higher aspect, on the level on which they become identical to the Sun (the masculine principle) and the Moon (the feminine principle).
Every disciple’s ideal is to become the Holy Grail, in which the love of Christ is condensed. To this end, they must work on their own matter, they must refine it, make it subtle and precious, so that it vibrates in harmony with the Spirit. It is then that the Spirit will come to dwell in it.
