Tree

Its reality is in its roots, which are represented in us by the solar plexus

December 30th 2026
The reality of a tree is in its roots. Its trunk, branches, flowers and fruit are but the forms, colours, flavours and fragrances through which the roots manifest themselves.
The roots themselves are dark, ugly and inexpressive, but what they produce is magnificent. If there were no roots there would be neither trunk nor branches, neither flowers nor fruit. Those who admire a tree never think about its roots, about how intelligent and capable they must be to produce such splendour. No, they remain hidden, and nobody mentions them. But if they are damaged, that is the end of the tree. Whereas if they are alive and healthy, even if the branches are dead, the tree can come back to life.
There is much matter for thought here. It would be true to say that the roots of a human being are represented by the solar plexus. All manifestation comes from these roots: the solar plexus.
