True currency

Westerners think they are civilized, because they live in a society where relations are governed by laws, which various institutions have the task of enforcing. Well, this is not enough, for despite those laws, society is still like a jungle. We will only be able to speak of true civilization once love becomes the currency between people.
Money is a convenient means of exchange, and it would be very naïve to think we could do away with it. But it is love that should increasingly become the true currency – not love instead of money but love above money. Many will call this ‘utopia’. Well, let them call it what they will; all true progress has always been the work of utopians. For its own salvation, humanity must move towards this ideal.
