When we truly possess it, others will ask us to enlighten them

Although they are not the majority, there are many people all over the world who wish to enlighten others. But as they do not know how to go about it, they gradually become discouraged by their poor results or even end up hating the whole world. Is it reasonable, really, to reach that stage?
If you truly wish to work for the good, start by leaving others alone, and concentrate on developing yourself… When eventually you are able to live in the light, they will be asking you to enlighten them, for they will feel they are in darkness floundering in the mire. But if you go and deal with the mire now, wading into it with the intention of purifying it, well, you will be covered in it yourself! Become filled with light, and when you appear before others they will understand, without your saying anything, how lost they have become, and they will ask you to guide them.
