Grace, divine
Always comes to the aid of those who deserve it
September 17th 2013
How does divine grace manifest? Why does it seem to come to some and not others? Is it unjust? No, it works according to a different justice beyond ordinary understanding.
Suppose you have begun to build a house, but after a while you realize you do not have the money to finish it. You ask a bank for a loan, and as they are not stupid they make enquiries to find out whether you will be able to pay back the money you wish to borrow. If their information is favourable, they advance the necessary amount. Well, this is how divine grace works. It descends over you after it has made enquiries and seen that in other incarnations you worked for the good. For the time being you are stuck, at a dead end, but in consideration of your past incarnations it gives you credit, it lends you capital. Grace is neither unjust nor blind, as many imagine it to be: you have to work a long time to deserve to receive it one day.
