Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

It is in 1937 when Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov (1900-1986), philosopher and teacher of Bulgarian origin, moved to France.
For nearly half a century, providing a strictly oral teaching, he has developed a lively and original thinking to diverse audiences, growing numbers susceptible to its influence and example.
Although his work addresses many aspects of spiritual science, he explains: ‘The questions with which we are faced will always be the same: to understand who we are, to discover the meaning of our lives and to overcome the obstacles which we find on our path. So, do not ask me to talk to you about anything else; I will always return to the same subjects: our development, our difficulties, the path to be followed and the methods we need to follow it.’

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov has explored the human nature in all its dimensions: individual, family, social, global. The one that his followers called Master in the Eastern sense of the term, in reference to self-mastery and teaching qualities, did not stop giving them clear concepts they need for their development. But at the same time, it made them aware of the relationship they should have with the world around them, not only humans, but the nature, the entire universe. Because the spiritual work really has sense if, beyond his personal development, each penetrates the idea that he is a member of the human family and citizen of the cosmos.
Thus, the teaching of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov invites us all, regardless of race, nation, religion, social class, to join our efforts to live together in peace and brotherhood.
