Invisible things
Without realizing it, everyone believes in them
When you are in love, are you in any doubt about it? No. Yet you cannot see your love, you cannot touch it, it is something intangible. When you have an opinion, do you see it? No. And yet you are sometimes ready to fight and die for it. When you say, ‘In my soul and conscience, I condemn this man’, you are also condemning him in the name of something you cannot see. How is it that you attach so much importance to this invisible soul and conscience? Without realizing it, the whole world believes in invisible, intangible things: everyone feels, loves, suffers, cries and rejoices for reasons that cannot be seen... and then they claim they believe only in what they can see and touch. How contradictory!*
