Harmony between all the elements

Music, true music such as it is understood by the Initiates, is not just the audible arrangement of sounds created by human beings. When Initiates speak of the ‘music of the spheres’,* they are referring to the harmony that reigns between all the elements of the universe, to an order, an arrangement, based on the relationships of numbers.
Harmony is primarily a structure; only when it descends to the material plane does it create forms. In this sense, harmony is the expression of divine reason and wisdom, and this is why it is also identified with the divine Word, the Logos. Harmony and music can exist only in the presence of reason and wisdom. The divine Word, music and wisdom, are one and the same.
